About Guernsey
Guernsey is a beautiful island with a thriving business community and a place where it is easy to achieve a good work/life balance.
The scenery is stunning with miles of cliff walks and gorgeous golden beaches. St Peter Port, the island's capital, is a small but busy town with excellent bistros, restaurants and boutique shops, as well as some high street names. For those wanting to make the most of their proximity to the sea, there is surfing, sailing, rowing and windsurfing to name but a few and for those who prefer dry land there are local teams for most sports activities.
You don't have to travel too far if you need a break from it all. The Bailiwick of Guernsey includes Sark, Herm and Alderney, all very different islands but all tranquil and relaxing places to visit. Neigbouring Jersey is only an hour away by boat, or 10 minutes in a plane.
Guernsey is also easily accessible from the UK and France, as well as other destinations in Europe. Flights from London Gatwick take as little as 45 minutes and not not much longer from other regional airports.
Many of the professionals working in Guernsey are from outside the island and have found that the move to Guernsey has given them a great lifestyle as well as a good working environment.
