Employment & Immigration
With the enactment of new employment legislation in 2001 in Bermuda, 2004 in the Cayman Islands, 2005 in Jersey and 2007 in Isle of Man, and also significant changes to immigration law in both Bermuda and Cayman in recent years, employment and immigration is a major area of practice. We:
- Represent both employers and employees before tribunals and the courts in Bermuda, the Cayman Islands, Guernsey, Isle of Man and Jersey
- Advise on all non-contentious employment and immigration issues in Bermuda, the Cayman Islands, Guernsey, Isle of Man, Jersey and the British Virgin Islands
- Have experience of matters arising from the hiring and retention of staff including the drafting of employment contracts
- Can assist with all necessary licensing issues arising, e.g. on the establishment of a business or branch
